The Hug Japan Project is a nonprofit social-design initiative, which aims to provide solid and long-term support from the universal design standpoint to all people particularly children affected directly and emotionally by the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011. By creating a network not just within Japan but across the globe, the project aims to provide ongoing assistance through creative and practical activities, such as art and design. In this way, we hope to support the future of all cities and people affected while respecting the value of each person who was impacted by the natural disaster.
